在草屯，很多人沒聽過慈德宮，可是，如果你問知不知道十九龍柱，我想每個人都能馬上告訴你。甚至，當場指給你看。慈德宮坐落於虎山上，因處在虎山的最高處，草屯全鎮盡收眼底。

In Caotun, many people have never heard of Ci De Temple, but if you ask if you know the nineteen dragon pillars, I think everyone can tell you right away. Or even show it to you on the spot. Cide Palace is located on Hushan Mountain. Because it is at the highest point of Hushan Mountain, Caotun has a panoramic view of the town.

當車來到威虎巷後，往上走會有一個廣大的停車場，你可選擇車停在這或直接開上去。路途約20~30分鐘，蠻適合散步的。不過，在可可小時候，這裡曾是夜總會，直到2011年後才逐漸的禁建、搬離，所以沿途還有些未搬走的住戶，會害怕的人，請結伴一起。

When the car comes to Weihu Lane, there will be a large parking lot when you go up. You can choose to park here or drive directly. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes, which is quite suitable for walking. However, when Coco was a child, it was a nightclub, and it was gradually banned and moved out after 2011. Therefore, there are still some residents who have not moved out along the way, and those who are afraid, please join us.

慈德宮是虎山登山步道的分支，所以不用擔心迷路，整條路沿途都有指標，就算迷路，頂多就是繞一圈從別的出口走回虎山路。

Cide Palace is a branch of the Hushan Mountain Hiking Trail, so don’t worry about getting lost. There are indicators along the whole road. Even if you get lost, you can at most make a circle and walk back to Hushan Road from another exit.

在叉路口，右邊是往雷藏寺，左邊比較陡的是往慈德宮，往慈德宮的路蠻陡的，建議帶個登山杖，還有飲水。

At the crossroads, the right side is towards Leizang Temple, the steeper left side is towards Cide Palace, and the road towards Cide Palace is quite steep. It is recommended to bring trekking poles and drinking water.

約20分鐘的路程，左手邊我們會看到他的宮門，早期的宮門市葫蘆形的。

樓梯中間的圖騰，是30年前流行的造型。放在斜坡之上，有力爭上游的涵義。

傻傻的龍，很久沒看到了。現在覺得還蠻可愛的。

爬上階梯後，首先映入眼前的，是由四根龍柱撐起的斗笠拜亭，全台唯一。先來張正面照，拍得不好，不是我的問題，是天氣太差。

After climbing up the stairs, the first thing that comes into view is the hat worship pavilion supported by four dragon pillars, the only one in Taiwan. Let’s take a frontal photo first. It’s not my problem, but the weather is bad.

階梯的右手邊，是本篇的主角「十九龍柱」，十九龍柱原名護國神柱，柱高30公尺。底部為蓮花池，柱身上攀著十九尾龍和十八羅漢，頂部則是觀世音菩薩，持淨瓶柳枝，象徵普渡蒼生。另外，每條龍的眼睛上還各裝著燈光，在晚夜時，可可家常能看到龍柱燈火通明。

At the bottom is a lotus pond, with nineteen-tailed dragons and eighteen arhats climbing on the pillars, and on the top is Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, holding willow branches in a pure vase, symbolizing the universal life. In addition, each dragon’s eyes are equipped with lights. In the evening, Cocoa’s family can often see the dragon pillars brightly lit.

往宮廟旁走去，是彌勒佛與七仙女。三十年沒來，此時可可小時候的記憶似乎漸漸地恢復。

Walking to the temple, Maitreya Buddha and the seven fairies. Thirty years have not been here, at this time Coco’s childhood memories seem to be gradually restored.

往上走是三百年的榕樹公，榕樹公很特別的是，氣鬚都已經粗成樹幹埋入土裡，這裡的榕樹公聽說很靈驗，有來的朋友記得拜一下。

Going up is the 300-year old banyan tree. What is very special about the banyan tree is that the qi beard has been thickened into a trunk and buried in the soil. I heard that the banyan tree here is very effective. If you have friends, remember to pay a respect.

下了階梯後遇到了一隻老虎，藏在草裡的老虎。好像多了一種兇猛感。

盡收眼底的草屯，因為今天氣候不是很好。再加上冬天的早晨，光線顯得有些不足，反正不是可可拍照技術差。

Caotun with a panoramic view, because the weather today is not very good. Coupled with the winter morning, the light seems a little insufficient, anyway, it is not the poor photography technology of Cocoa.

陽光出來，照出來的作品就是不一樣，葫蘆的造型宮廟，群龍盤踞，顯示出很鮮豔亮麗的感覺。

When the sun comes out, the works that are illuminated are different. The gourd-shaped palace and temples are surrounded by dragons, showing a very bright and beautiful feeling.

不只是外觀，連內部都充滿著故事。四根龍柱上方還畫著神明的畫像，廟內則是供奉的是56尊佛祖，可可不太喜歡拍神明，總覺得帶些不敬。

Not only the exterior, but the interior is full of stories. There are also portraits of gods painted on the top of the four dragon pillars. The temple enshrines 56 Buddhas, but I don’t like to photograph gods, and I always feel disrespectful.

離開前，再來一張，太陽出來就是不一樣，整個技術都好起來了。
