The Great South Gate, also known as Ningnan Gate, was built in 1725, especially the structure of the Great South Gate. , Tainan Fucheng originally had 5 urn cities, but now only one remains, and it is the only one in Taiwan.

在介紹完「府城南門公園」接著要介紹的就是府城南門公園內的主角「大南門」，大南門又稱寧南門，建於1725年，特別的是大南門的甕城構造，台南府城原有5座甕城，現今只僅存1座，也是台灣唯一的1座。

There is a history of the reconstruction of the Great South Gate at the entrance. The Great South Gate was built during the Yongzheng period and was originally a Muzha structure. Later, due to the Lin Shuangwen incident, it was strengthened to build bricks during the Qianlong period.

入口處有大南門的改建歷史，大南門興建於雍正時期，原為木柵構造。後續因為林爽文事件，於乾隆時期加強為磚造。

There are two entrances to the Great South Gate. From the outer entrance, you can see that there is another entrance inside. The inner and outer gates are not designed on the same route. This is to prevent the enemy from driving in.

大南門共有兩個入口，從外圍的入口處，可以看見裡面還有一個入口，內外城門並不是設計在同一條路線上，這是為了避免敵人長驅直入。

內城入口，題字為寧南門。為什麼會有兩個名字，其實這是一個整修擴建的歷史，先由內部的寧南門興建，後續再擴建外部的大南門。

There are ancient cannons on the walls, which are quite intact. Those who want to shoot ancient cannons don’t have to go to Anping Old Fort, which is crowded with people, as there is at the South Gate of Tainan City.

城牆上放著古砲，保存的相當完整。想拍古砲的人，不用特地跑去安平古堡人擠人，台南市區大南門就有。

牆上的城垛，每個掩體都開有小洞，方便守城瞄準射擊。

Weng City, also known as Half Moon City, is mainly named after the rectangular inner city and the half-moon outer city structure. The double-layer defense function not only increases the difficulty of the enemy’s offensive, but also has the function of luring the enemy into the interior and catching turtles in the urn. So it was called Wengcheng.

甕城又稱為半月城，主要是由長方形的內城及半月形的外城構造取名，雙層層的防禦功能，除了增加敵軍進攻的難度，還有誘敵入內，甕中捉鱉的功能，故被稱呼為甕城。
