台中市清水國小創立於1897年，最初為台中國語(教日語)傳習所，後經歷多次改名，最後成為現今的清水國小，它除了擁有百年歷史外，也是國內第一間校園古蹟。

Qingshui Elementary School in Taichung City was founded in 1897. It was originally a Teaching Japanese School at Taiwan , and has been renamed many times before becoming the current Qingshui Elementary School. In addition to having a century of history, it is also the first campus monument in Taiwan.

由於疫情其間，進入校園是需要配戴口罩的。校園內全區禁止攜帶飲食、抽菸，還請各位務必遵守。

可可小時候，很多學校保有這種教師宿舍，但現今大都損毀廢除，清水國小的校舍群，於2016年修復，修復時以保留舊有材料、使用舊有工法復原，所以呈現的樣式與可可幼時的記憶完全相同。

When Coco was a child, many schools maintained this kind of teacher’s dormitory, but most of them are now destroyed and abolished. The school buildings of Qingshui Elementary School were restored in 2016. The old materials were preserved and the old construction methods were used for restoration. So the present style is the same as Coco’s childhood The memory is exactly the same.

因為是採舊材修復，校舍部分如玻璃、門把、木材…等，規格、樣式會顯得較為不一致，但在可可看來，這種不統一的樣式，反而更襯托出它濃厚的歷史味。

Because it is repaired with old materials, the specifications and styles of the school buildings such as glass, doorknobs, wood… etc. will appear to be more inconsistent, but in Coco’s view, this inconsistent style will bring out its strong historical flavor.

校舍的另一面，不能稱它為校舍的背面。因為，校舍群看似是在清水國小內。但其實每棟校舍，都是擁有自己的獨立門牌的。

楊肇嘉紀念館，楊肇嘉先生生於清朝，活耀於日治、民國初期，是台灣自治運動史上的重量級人物，清水很多的建設，都是在他的遊走請願下爭取興建的。

Yang Zhaojia Memorial Hall. Mr. Yang Zhaojia was born in the Qing Dynasty and lived in the Japanese rule and the early Republic of China. He is a heavyweight in the history of Taiwan’s self-government movement. Many constructions in Qingshui were built under his wandering petition.

楊肇嘉的書房，清末、日治時期，因為漢文書本不易獲得，不少貴族、學者會將藏書的多寡視為自身修養與地位的象徵。

Yang Zhaojia’s study was in the late Qing Dynasty and during the Japanese rule. Many aristocrats and scholars regarded the number of books in their collection as a symbol of their self-cultivation and status.

傳統日式建築室內格局，日式建築不同於清朝建築的華麗，以簡約精緻為主，雖說少了華麗的雕刻，但不管是樑柱、窗戶施工都極為精緻。

The indoor layout of traditional Japanese architecture. Japanese architecture is different from the gorgeousness of Qing Dynasty architecture. It is mainly simple and exquisite. Although it lacks ornate sculptures, the construction of beams, columns and windows is extremely exquisite.

牆壁上還展示著整修前的照片，讓訪客了解修復前與修復後的差別。

在玻璃上常可以看到水字，這是一種現代LOGO的概念，二次大戰之後，因為物資缺乏，怕玻璃被偷，所以刻字的方便追蹤流向。

Water characters can often be seen on the glass. This is a modern LOGO concept. After World War II, because of the lack of materials and fear of the glass being stolen, the lettering is convenient to track the flow.

除了校舍群，清水國小還有很多具有歷史意義的古蹟，如校門、禮堂、誠字碑等，很多人都以為只有校舍群才是古蹟，那是不對的，整個清水國小都是三級古蹟。

古早的校園，保留的是可可幼時的記憶，英式磚砌的教室，歷經數十年後仍保留了溫潤的質感，磚牆下方則以洗石子凹凸水平線條裝飾。上方則有通風口防止木構造潮濕。

The ancient campus retains the memories of Cocoa’s childhood. The English-style brick classroom retains its warm and moist texture after decades. The brick walls are decorated with uneven horizontal lines of washed stones. There are vents on the top to prevent the wooden structure from getting wet.

鐘樓上的古鐘，有點像寺廟用的鐘，有種歲月的洗鍊的美感。

The ancient bell on the bell tower is a bit like a temple bell, with the beauty of washing the chains of the years.

「百年樹人」出自於「管子· 權修」：「一年之計，莫如樹谷；十年之計，莫如樹木；終身之計，莫如樹人」意思是說，栽培樹木可以在較短時間用得，培養人才卻要很久很久才能見效。
