“The pier-2 artcenter" was originally the abandoned No. 2 warehouse in Kaohsiung Port. At first, a group of enthusiastic artists moved in. They organized the space and environment of the warehouse, and then expanded it into the largest art development base in the south.

After a series of reconstructions, the current pier-2 artcenter has completed three visiting areas: Dayong Warehouse, Penglai Warehouse, and Dayi Warehouse. It is also one of the must-visit attractions in Kaohsiung.

The road signs along the warehouse are quite obvious, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost. It contains all kinds of food, drink, play, and fun, which can be said to be quite a complete tourist attraction.

Motorcycles and cars are not allowed to enter the exhibition area, and bicycles are not limited to this. This is quite friendly to tourists on foot.

Wandering among the warehouses, each place has different landscaping, and the visiting routes are well planned, making it quite comfortable to stroll around.

There is also a sky corridor connecting the warehouses with each other. There is also a swing under the corridor, which adds to the childhood fun of this trip.

In addition to the recreational space for people, it is also the living area for many stray animals. The cat with the ear clipped means that it is a cat released into the wild after sterilization operation, and the ear clipped on the right means that it is a little girl.

Large, colorful figures are an artistic display piece from the warehouse’s founding days. Each painting is different, and many tourists are vying to take a group photo.

The installation art of modern people, even in the beautiful scenery, they still have to continue to use their mobile phones, which is quite realistic.

Kaohsiung is the most important heavy industrial city in Taiwan. Installation art made of iron may not be the most beautiful art, but it is the work that best represents Kaohsiung.

Kaohsiung Port is also the largest port in Taiwan. It is quite common for Kaohsiung people to see warships, but such a sight is quite unusual for coco.

In addition to buses and MRT, you can also take the light rail to The pier-2 artcenter. The light rail is a very environmentally friendly and friendly means of transportation, even if it is driving beside it, it will not make people feel oppressed.

The installation art is built with construction frames. The green sign is the name of the road in Kaohsiung. The roads in Kaohsiung are numbered from one to ten, which is quite easy to remember.

The construction frame is full of all kinds of signs. In the early days of Kaohsiung, there were signs with neon lights. These are full of childhood memories.

In addition to The pier-2 artcenter, Dayi Park next to the special area also has a wealth of exhibits. You can walk along the edge of the park to see the sea view of Kaohsiung Harbor, or go directly through the park, which is quite casual.

There is a huge balloon artwork floating on the Love River, and the tallest building behind it is the 85 Building, an important landmark in Kaohsiung.

In Dayi Park, there is a super-famous semi-circular installation art “Chair Score". This is a very popular photo-taking spot.

The chair Score is composed of more than 1,000 elementary school wooden chairs. Different chairs are painted with different colors, showing a colorful and bright style.

The pier-2 artcenter and Cultural Center at night is also full of surprises. The colorful lights make this vast Kaohsiung Harbor instantly lively.

Unlike the heat in the morning, Kaohsiung at night is cooler, so you will feel that Kaohsiung at night has more crowds than Kaohsiung during the day.

Taking pictures before leaving, the cute dogs and the beautiful night scene make people feel happy. END

END
