Today, I am going to take you to visit the historical monument Tianzhong Barn, hidden in the small town of Tianzhong. This is an old barn reborn in a completely new form through the introduction of art and crafts, which started operating in September this year. Let CoCo take everyone to experience the charm of this old building.
今天要帶大家走訪的是隱身在田中小鎮裡的歷史古蹟田中穀倉，這是一個透過藝術與工藝的進駐以全新型態重生的老穀倉今年9月開始營運。就讓可可帶大家來感受這座老建築的魅力吧。
Coming before the old barn cluster, what you see is the wooden signboard of “Barn Creative Arts," and the simple black wooden building beside it exudes a rich sense of history. The wide warehouse doors are wide open, as if inviting travelers to step into the past, while the old wheels leaning against the wall add a touch of nostalgic rural atmosphere.
來到老穀倉群前，看到的是「穀倉起藝」的木造立牌，旁邊質樸的黑色木造建築散發著濃厚的歷史感。寬闊的倉庫大門敞開，彷彿在邀請旅人走進過去的時光，牆邊擺放的舊車輪更增添了幾分懷舊的鄉村氣息。
Inside the barn, one is instantly awed by the spectacular wooden truss structure overhead. This roof structure, interwoven with old cypress wood, remains sturdy after decades, showcasing the superb civil engineering and architectural craftsmanship of the early days. The spacious, open floor and the neat wooden windows on both sides let one imagine the prosperous harvest days when the barn was filled with rice grain.
穀倉內部，立刻被頭頂上壯觀的木結構桁架所震撼。這座由老檜木交織而成的屋頂結構，歷經數十年依舊堅固，展現了早期高超的土木建築工藝。寬敞空曠的地面與兩側整齊的木窗，讓人想像著當年稻穀堆滿倉的豐收榮景。
Strolling down the asphalt path between the two barns, tall trees interlace overhead to form a natural green tunnel. On both sides stand the rustic and serene black wooden buildings featuring geometric slanted facade designs. The sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled shadows and filling this historical corridor with a sense of tranquility and cozy life.
漫步在兩座穀倉之間的柏油小路，高大的樹木在空中交織成天然的綠色隧道。兩側是帶有幾何線型斜面設計的黑色木造建築，古樸而沉靜。陽光穿過樹葉灑下斑駁的光影，讓這條歷史廊道充滿了靜謐與舒適的生活感。
Following the path, there is a preserved old railway track extending straight into the distance. The early Taiwanese railway was a vital lifeline for transporting agricultural crops. Now retired, it stands as the best witness to the town’s agricultural development.
順著路走，旁邊是一條保留下來的舊鐵軌，筆直地延伸向遠方，早期的台灣鐵路是運送農作物的重要命脈，如今功成身退，也成為記錄小鎮農業發展的最佳見證。
Next, I arrived at the first craft exhibition room. The black wooden wall features a delicate straw-woven lamp hanging on it, and the brass plaque at the door bears its name “Moye Space". This design, combining traditional materials with modern aesthetics, makes one eagerly look forward to the surprises behind the door.
接著，我來到了第一間工藝展間。黑色的木質牆面，掛著一盞精緻的草編小燈，門口的黃銅牌匾寫著它的名字「墨耶空間」。這種將傳統材質與現代美學結合的設計，讓人非常期待門後的驚喜。
Upon entering the space, one is instantly enveloped by the dim, warm lighting. The long tables display a variety of craft table lamps combined with driftwood, iron elements, and frosted glass; these are the artists’ works and are available for purchase. The faint yet warm glow diffuses through the barn’s wooden structure, accompanied by somewhat ethereal music, creating a transcendent and serene artistic atmosphere.
空間內部，立刻被昏暗暖調的燈光所包圍。長桌上展示著各式各樣以漂流木、鐵件與磨砂玻璃組合而成的工藝檯燈，這些是藝術家的作品，可以購買。微弱而溫暖的光芒在穀倉的木構空間中擴散，搭配有點玄妙的音樂，營造出一種空靈而沉靜的藝術氛圍。
The central space is a large-scale spatial installation art, with strands of decorative curtains made of pottery pieces, plant seeds, or natural materials hanging from the roof. The straw-woven rugs spread on the floor are perfect for meditation. Amidst the faint candlelight and music, people can engage in a profound and harmonious dialogue with nature.
中間的空間是一處大型的空間裝置藝術，從屋頂垂下由陶片、植物果實或天然素材串成的裝飾線簾。地板上鋪著的草編地毯可以打坐，在微弱的燭光，與音樂中，人們可以很深層的與自然和諧對話。
What attracts CoCo the most is this creative display of the “Incense Ash Earth God". The red tins on the wooden cabinet to the left contain incense ash collected from temples all over Taiwan, and the mahogany screen is inscribed with introductions related to local temple beliefs. Combining traditional Earth God faith with cultural and creative design, this art, full of a sense of ritual, allows people to rediscover Taiwan’s local folklore and incense culture.
最吸引可可的是這座「香灰土地爺」的創意展示。左側木櫃上的紅色罐子，是從台灣各地的廟宇收集而來的香灰，紅木屏風，上面寫著與在地廟宇信仰相關的介紹。將傳統的土地公信仰與文創設計結合，充滿儀式感的藝術讓人們重新認識台灣的在地民俗與香火文化。
Standing in front of the wooden multi-drawer cabinet wall full of historical flavor, the design is very much like an old Chinese medicine shop. White handwritten labels are affixed to each small drawer. As CoCo took a closer look at the introduction nearby, it turned out that various types of essential oils are sold here.
充滿歷史感的木製百寶格牆前，這樣的設計非常像以前的中藥舖，每一個小抽屜上都貼著白色的手寫標籤，可可仔細一看旁邊的介紹，原來這裡賣的是各種不同種類的精油。
Then I arrived at another exhibition room called “Lenz Life". The walls of the porch are highly unique, decorated with a collage of numerous old newspapers and magazines, full of vintage paper aesthetics. Lush green potted plants hang on the small wooden fence at the entrance, and the handwritten signboard looks both low-key and heartwarming.
來到了另一個展間「楞生活」。門廊的牆面非常特別，是用大量的舊報紙與雜誌拼貼而成，充滿了復古的紙質美感。門口的木質小籬笆上掛著綠意盎然的盆栽，手寫的招牌顯得既低調又溫馨。
Stepping inside, the place has been transformed into a highly flavorful compound dining space that serves toasted bread and simple beverages, with the neatly arranged wooden tables and chairs giving off a laid-back feel. The golden bundles of straw in the corner perfectly echo the historical background of the building as a former barn.
進入室內，這裡被改造成了一間極具風味的複合式餐飲空間，有賣烤土司及簡單的飲料，錯落有致的木質桌椅給人慵懶的感覺。角落裡金黃色的稻草束，完美呼應了這座建築曾經作為穀倉的歷史背景。
In another corner of the space lies the cultural and creative display area of “Len-Zi Handmade". The royal blue backdrop wall contrasts sharply with the corrugated iron bar counter. The wooden shelves display a dazzling array of miniature wood carvings and exquisite handicrafts, showcasing the delicate handmade warmth and creativity of local Taiwanese creators.
在空間的另一角，是「楞子手作」的文創展示區。寶藍色的背牆與波浪鐵皮吧檯互相撞色，木櫃上琳瑯滿目地陳列著各式微型木雕與精緻的手工藝品，展現了台灣在地創作者細膩的手工溫度與創意。
Fairy-tale-style small house pottery or wood carvings are showcased, with exquisite small clocks neatly arranged next to them. These playful, childlike designs look exceptionally vibrant against the backdrop of the barn’s wooden walls.
童話風小房子陶藝或木雕，旁邊則整齊排列著精緻的小時鐘。這些充滿童趣的設計，在穀倉木牆映襯下，顯得格外有生命力。
Sunlight pours down from the high windows, illuminating the spacious area supported by massive wooden pillars. The display shelves are lined with all kinds of cultural and creative items, forming a dialogue that blends the old and the new with the rustic wooden tables and chairs, bringing a perfect ending to this trip to Tianzhong Barn.
陽光從高窗灑落，照亮了由粗大木柱支撐的寬敞空間。展示架上擺放著各式文創商品，與古樸的木桌椅形成了新舊交融的對話，為這次的田中穀倉之行畫下完美的句點。
Across from the barn, there is a section of railway track located outside the garden; CoCo wasn’t sure if it was open for entry, so I could only snap a quick picture as a keepsake. This also brings a final, perfect conclusion to this small-town journey. END
穀倉的對面，有一段位於庭園外的鐵道，可可不確定可不可以進入，只能隨手拍張照留念。也為這段小鎮旅行畫上最後完美的句點。END
