AI drawing and photo editing have become incredibly popular lately. As a modernized elder, I naturally had to jump on this AI trend. A few days ago, I took my blog avatar and asked the AI to do some localized micro-adjustments to show what I would look like 10 years later. What I expected to be a 10-minute task ended up wasting 30 minutes of my time.

最近AI繪圖和修圖非常流行，身為一個現代化的老人，當然必須跟上這股AI流行，前幾天可可就拿了部落格的大頭貼，請AI幫可可進行10年後的局部微調，沒想到預計花10分鐘的事，硬是讓可可浪費了30分鐘。

This is the original image: a slightly plump, friendly-looking, blessed older brother wearing glasses, holding a cigarette in his left hand. The goal was actually very simple: “Replace the traditional cigarette with a more modern e-cigarette, and switch it so the character holds it in his right hand!"

這是一開始的原圖，一位戴眼鏡、微胖、看起來很有親和力的福氣大哥，他的左手夾著菸。目標很簡單：「把傳統菸換成更具現代感的電子菸，而且改成用人物的右手拿！」

I entered the prompt: “No, change it to holding the e-cigarette in the left hand." After receiving the command, the AI completely turned a deaf ear to the word “left hand"! It only generated an e-cigarette but took the liberty of changing its position, stuffing it directly into his mouth.

輸入「不對，是換成左手拿電子煙。」AI在收到指令後，完全把「左手」當作耳邊風！只產生電子菸，但是還自己改變了他的位置直接把它塞進嘴巴裡。

After issuing the command again: “Change the guy’s hand to the left hand holding a heated tobacco product, and place it at the left chest position," the AI finally moved the hand to the left side of the screen, which is the operator’s left.

再次下達「肥宅的手改成左手拿加熱菸，位置也在左邊胸部位置」後，AI終於把手移到了畫面左邊，也就是操作者左邊。

To confirm how the AI determines left and right, I re-verified by giving the command “raise the right hand"—this “right" meant my right side while facing the screen. The AI successfully raised the character’s left hand in the image.

為了確認AI判定的左右邊，可可重新確認下達了「把右手舉起來」這個右邊是面對螢幕的可可的右邊。AI順利的舉起圖片人物的左手。

To check once more, I gave the command “raise the left hand"—this “left" meant my left side while facing the screen. The AI successfully raised the character’s right hand in the image.

為了再次確認，，可可下達了「把左手舉起來」這個左邊是面對螢幕的可可的左邊。AI順利的舉起圖片人物的右手。

If every time we edit a photo, we as the masters have to psychologically channel the character and think, “his right hand is my left, and my right side is his left hand," then photo editing would simply be too exhausting!

如果每次修圖，我們做主人的還要先去幫角色通靈，思考「他的右手是我的左邊、我的右邊是他的左手」，那修圖未免也太心累了吧！

Therefore, next time you use AI for micro-adjustments or prompting, please hold fast to this correct concept: “Based strictly on the left and right sides from my perspective looking at the screen!" If the AI still gets it wrong, it means its logic is not user-friendly enough—it is absolutely not a mistake in our commands.

所以，下次大家在使用 AI 進行微調或下指令時，請堅定這個正確觀念：「以我看螢幕的左右為準！」如果 AI 還是搞錯，那就是它的邏輯不夠人性化，絕對不是我們指令的錯。
